Hi there, I'm Joe Hacobian a photographer turned self-taught software engineer.

My interests therefore are unconventional and wide ranging, spanning software engineering patterns and principles and crossing over into embedded systems, electronics, 3D printing (FDM, Resin), and subtractive manufacturing such as CAM and laser cutting.

While I enjoy hand-built design and fabrication, I derive a special reward from engineering parts in CAD and working with machines to fabricate them.

For my day job I'm a generalist fullstack software engineer, well versed with information processing, http, fulltext search, the design of scalable systems and cloud native technologies.

I prefer staying closer to the metal and learning about new and interesting applications of ML, sensor aggregation, data conditioning, and the fusion of multi-disciplinary solutions to form new types of technological tools, such as advanced robotics.
