You might want to use Admin Tools or RSFirewall to do a malware scan. There are known cases where certain malware can cause this problem: https://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=706&t=902880

All of my demonstrations will assume this line is already declared: $db = JFactory::getDBO(); I will also provide a "guinea pig" table as a demo reference and playground for researchers when sample data is necessary for context. (db-fiddle.com demo) CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS `#__calendar` ( `id` int(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, `month` varchar(100) ...

I bet there is a fatal error somewhere, which prevents the complete execution and results to see an incomplete rendered page and the essential css/js files missing. Enable error reporting and likely you will see what's wrong at the bottom of the page, where the rendering stops. Report back any of your findings. It could also help if you would do a clean ...

Guys after messing around with the ACL in all other places, and checking for any kind of possible other issues for some hours, finally I managed to sort this out. The issue was caused by the ACL settings on the JCE Editor plugin, which is being called when it comes to load the editor. It had access level to Administrator, so any front-end users were unable ...

No sure what happened but updating to Joomla 3.3.3 solve it: I could reproduce under J3.3.3, the same error I had under J3.3.1 by modifying the module chrome file (\templates\mytemplate\html\module.php). I haven't edited this file since a least a full month before the issue happened so I can't find out what was wrong. Anyway, it's back now! EDIT: ...

I would suggest a) Contact Peter from NoNumber, he's very good at responding to questions in his support forum. b) Uninstall and reinstall. We found that NoNumber couldn't go from 2.5 to 3 without problems, so we started uninstalling it and reinstalling it fresh. It shouldn't cause much in the way of problems, rather, we haven't found any yet, and we've ...

go in an set the full path to the background images, this is a pain but it will fix your issue. When you include a page, sometimes the css path is not translate right,(relative url) right eg: /images/image.jpg <--- doesn't work eg: http://www.somesite.com/images/image.jpg <---- will always work

This is a pretty easy thing to do, it might just not be very easy to find or well documented. Follow these three steps: Step 1: Create a new menu then go to the menu item(s) you would like to duplicate and select them all. Step 2: Select batch, in the bottom left under "Move or copy" select the menu you created in step 1 and underneath the title select "...

I just sorted it out... and found what was causing this. The issue was caused by a bug in the ACL Manager extension. I had ACL Manager 2.4.4 installed and that had a bug as reported here, although the post mentions the bug was for Joomla 2.5, it seems it is also for Joomla 3.x. Disabling ACL Manager System Plugin, resolves the Articles Manager issue. ...

Something is caching data for authenticated users when it shouldn't be. Generally within the core Joomla extensions, they will only serve cached data to guest users.

It seems that the issue caused by the default limit of max_input_vars of php and to the fact that the page is trying to load a significant amount of fields. The issue has been discussed here and here. As solution, it is suggested to increase the php_max_input_vars on the server. Update: The continue of this issue with a solution to overcome the ...

I'm pretty sure you should not be able to have a homepage in your trash. Try going into your database and going to the menu table. This has a column called home. Make sure the deleted one has a value of 0 and the default has a value of 1. There should be a 1 in this column next to each language homepage, and also the default homepage. Language ones will ...

After a lot of searching, my host pointed out the fact that they use Varnish, which is a cache system, incompatible with Joomla, by default. They didn't seem eager to edit its settings, but they told me to add the following to my .htaccess file. Header add "disablevcache" "true" After doing so, the issue was resolved within 24 to 36 hours.

logout, Clear your cookies, to clear your session, and then login again - it seems you might have some other session filter saved somewhere in your session which is causing an invalid SQL query.

According to the error, document.formvalidator (media/system/js/validate.js) is not instantiated. This may be caused by a Javascript conflict in the page or a loading error. Check if you have any browser console error (for example, a conflict caused by a third-party tinyMCE plugin) or any issue loading the Javascript file.

I can't reproduce this on a clean install with protostar and TinyMCE. Is it happening only when site is offline? On all pages, or on a few or only a single page? If it's only on a specific pages, see what other extensions exist on that page as it can be a conflict with these. Disable those extensions, clear caches and try again. Also make sure you ...

I was having the same problem today. On my categories I had a "master" category for each language as suggested on a multi-language website. The normal search and smart search both seem not to search on the ALL language articles. The way I fix it, was creating a third "master" category (with ALL language) where I included all the sub-categories which had ALL ...

For aliasing a table, you replace your current code: ->from($db->quoteName('#__extensions') . ' AS a') with: ->from($db->quoteName('#__extensions', 'a')) This will automatically generate AS a. Now seeing that you're using an alias, you need to replace: ->where($db->quoteName('type') with: ->where($db->quoteName('a.type')

Obviously and from the comments, the Repeatable Form Field is still very buggy and under development. Therefore we shall wait for some time for it.

I had a quick look at your site and it seems to be working fine. What part of your site are you unable to access? It could be an issue with Modules Anywhere (I assume you mean the NoNumber extension ). You can try disabling the plugin from the Plugin Manager, and see if that makes any difference. Keep in mind that {loadposition yourmoduleposition} ...

Looks like it is working for me. It directs me to yoururl.org/en/ It therefore looks very much like you have a problem with the language settings, or indeed a extension which is having an issue with languages. Clearing your cookies may result in you being directed to the right language version, but the source of the problem will need to be determined by ...

It works for me when I access the site, but it shows a lot of "Strict Standard" warnings. Mainly coming from a "DisplayNews" Module and from a layout override in "/templates/protostar/html/layouts/joomla/content/tags.php". You may want to try disabling at least the module to see if it causes other issues as well as it doesn't look like it's written very well....

If there is a deadlock, it would indicate that index updates are done from different directions so to speak and there may be a bug in Joomla that causes this. Apart from documenting the symptoms or trying to find the bug you can mitigate the issue by allowing for the session table to be more performant. In addition to Jordans comment, you can make the ...

Fixed this. The table sva_usergroups is using join condition. I am using 5000 User groups. So many user groups causing the join condition to go in never ending operations. Change the following code to this one(removed joins). Location : /libraries/joomla/form/fields/rules.php protected function getUserGroups() { $db = JFactory::getDbo(); ...
